I have a confession to make: I love a Whataburger fight. Seeing videos of them is kind of my guilty pleasure; whether they start inside and spill out into the parking lot or they happen in the drive-thru, I cannot stop watching!
I will watch them like they are premium TV and this latest one from East Texas? Well, it did not disappoint!

According to the Paris Police Department, officers initially responded after a customer became verbally abusive toward staff and was ordered to leave by the manager. The man was identified as 41-year-old Anthony William Newhuis of Spring, Texas. Police say Newhuis left the restaurant but allegedly threatened to return and assault the manager after officers cleared the scene.
And he did!
Authorities say Newhuis later came back and allegedly struck the manager multiple times with his fist. That’s when things escalated quickly.
Viral Video Shows Whataburger Manager Fighting Back
Video captured shows the manager recovering and fighting back! At one point striking Newhuis with a trash can and a french fry tray before forcing him out of the restaurant.
Yes. A trash can!
After the altercation, officers and Lamar County deputies located Newhuis in the back parking lot bleeding from the head. He was arrested on charges of assault resulting in bodily injury and public intoxication. He was transported to a medical facility for treatment before being booked into the Lamar County Jail.
In a statement, a Whataburger spokesperson said:
At Whataburger, guest and employee security are a top priority. We take incidents such as this seriously and are fully cooperating with authorities.
Look, I’m not celebrating violence, but if Texas fast-food lore has taught us anything, it’s that things can go from spicy ketchup to full chaos in record time! And while this one ended with an arrest and charges, it also joins the growing archive of “you won’t believe this happened at Whataburger” moments.
