Whataburger Announces New Holiday Because Texas Really Deserves It
As Texans I think we all know that the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit is elite and undefeated. It’s not just breakfast, it’s a lifestyle! Now, Whataburger is making it official by giving its most beloved menu item a holiday- and yes, free biscuits are involved.
Texas Finally Made the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit a Holiday
Whataburger has declared National Whataburger Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit Day on February 4, which honestly feels overdue! To celebrate, customers can score one free Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. at participating locations in-store, drive-thru, or through the app.
No purchase. Just show up hungry! To properly announce the new holiday, Whataburger teamed up with country star Lainey Wilson, who appears in a new ad officially declaring the day:
This isn’t just a menu item, it’s a Texas staple! A crispy chicken strip on a fluffy buttermilk biscuit, topped with signature honey butter, has powered early mornings, long nights, and countless road trips across the state; and countless mornings on the Morning Show for me!
Giving it a holiday just confirms what Texans already knew.
Whataburger says the new holiday celebrates more than just a biscuit, it honors the traditions and comfort foods that keep Texans coming back. If Texas is going to make something a holiday, this feels like the right choice.
I mean, we didn’t need a holiday to prove the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit is elite, but we’ll gladly accept one. Set your alarm for February 4, because Texas history is being made before 11 a.m. Oh, and prepare for the madness on that day at your nearest Whataburger.
