If you yell out the words  "What would you do to go to Western Playland?" anywhere near El Paso, you are guaranteed to get the response "I'd eat my broccoli!...yuck!" It's a classic, and everyone in the El Paso region fondly remembers it.

But what would you do to go to Western Playland in the fall- during its off season? The answer doesn't involve broccoli!

Western Playland, located at 1249 Futurity Drive in Sunland Park, New Mexico, is getting ready to say goodbye to the 2024 season. I know many are feeling sad to say goodbye their favorite rides like Tsunami, El Bandido Roller Coaster, Paratrooper, Round up, Tilt-a Whirl, Pharaoh's Fury, Scrambler, and, of course, the Himalaya.

Well, feel sad no more because Western Playland has just announced their very first Fall Festival!

Making the announcement on their social media pages, Western Playland's very first Fall Festival is perfect for those of us who have always wanted to see what the park looks like in its off season!

Western Playland's first ever Fall Festival will take place over two weekends in October: October 19 and 20 and the following weekend on October 26 and 27.

According to their calendar, the Fall Festival will begin at 1 p.m. and run through 6 p.m.

It's pumpkins, rides and fall vibes all the way! The announcement was met with much praise- it's something that is new and perfect for all the family to celebrate fall. The entire park will see cooler nights, and maybe a goblin or two as El Pasoans gear up for Halloween.

No other detail were given in the announcement, but I'm sure that as we get closer to the autumnal season, we'll find out more about Western Playland's very first Fall Festival!  You can keep up with their updates here.
