Wanna Be In The Movies?

Several movies are set to be filmed in the area and casting calls are Saturday in Las Cruces.

West Texas and Southern New Mexico continue to be very popular locations for directors and filmmakers of all kinds. Several more films will soon be going into production in the Borderland and Film Las Cruces needs "extras". According to the El Paso Times, they'll hold:

an open casting call for extras in upcoming films shot in the area. The casting call will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 17 at the Las Cruces Wia Building, 340 N. Raymond St. Anyone is welcome at the casting call. Depending on the film, some of the extras will be paid. Casual dress is requested, and actors can bring resumes if they have them.
