TxDOT El Paso Crew Added 1 More Cone Creature on the Road
There is a new face in town that you may see while you're driving on the road.
Last year in 2021 the El Paso TxDOT crew got creative to help El Paso drivers drive in a safe manner.
In 2021, TxDOT El Paso added new crew members during construction. You may recall Work Zone Willy and Safe-T-Rex were created to remind you to always be safe while on the El Paso roads.
Clearly, some El Pasoans need a reminder about driving safely in the borderland. We have seen way too many videos on The Real Fit Fam El Paso about wrong-way drivers.
This is why the TxDOT El Paso crew put together some friendly creatures to remind you to be safe on the roads. Safe-T-Rex and Work Zone Willy were placed at different locations in El Paso that you may or may not have noticed.
It looks as if some of the TxDOT crew put together (a third) friendly life-size reminder to drive safely. This time it is a giant orange barrel rattlesnake.
TxDOT has one problem, they need your help naming the rattlesnake.
Clearly, some El Pasoans cracked a few jokes in the comment section about finishing road projects instead of building creatures with tax dollars and barrells.
In my opinion, I enjoy the little things like this because of the joy it brings.
For example, when my kids and I have driven by Work Zone Willy or Safe-T-Rex the joy on their faces is priceless. So if you think of a creative name for the rattlesnake, let TxDOT El Paso know.
