Texas Man Accused of Throwing Boiling Soup on Older Girlfriend
A disturbing report out of Texas details an alleged assault involving hot soup and a 67-year-old woman According to police, a 35-year-old man from Waco, Texas is accused of burning his girlfriend with hot soup after an argument, because she was apparently talking too much.
While the name of the victim was not released, KWTX does report that Alexander Alton McDavid was charged with assault - bodily injury - previous conviction, continuous violence against the family, injury to elderly (intentional, knowingly or reckless), resist arrest, search or transportation and terroristic threat of family member or household member.
According to an affidavit, the incident happened on February 28th at the couple's apartment, when McDavid became upset that the victim was talking too much, so when she took a bowl of hot soup out of the microwave, McDavid intentionally hit the plate, causing third degree burn on the victims right shoulder and forearm.
The victim does not have a car or a phone, so she didn't report the incident right away. It was only until a few days later when the victim had an appointment at the Social Security Office when she decided to stop by the police department and make a report.
McDavid was arrested and booked into the McLennan County Jail on bonds totaling $130,000
But this had not been the first time McDavid had abused her; he allegedly choked her in the past, also, McDavid had been arrested before for family violence. Despite the age gap, it looks like this relationship was on the rocks and headed for doom since the beginning with that arrest record!
