Visiting a Buc-ee's is the next big thing to visiting heaven, or so I've been told! I have never gone to a Buc-ee's. Actually, I've never gone anywhere in Texas, I know it's blasphemy!

But because I've never been to a Buc-ee's, I for sure never knew that it had one strict rule; and it looks like this couple from Ohio also didn't know the rule because they had to be asked to leave!

Is Buc-ee's a Truck Stop?

Dawn and Richard Thompson tell MySanAntonio.com that the were asked to leave Buc-ee's in the middle of their visit. Why? Well, because the Thompsons showed up to Buc-ee's in their semi-truck; and those who have gone to a Buc-ee's know that 18-wheelers are definitely not allowed.

Apparently they have these signs EVERYWHERE, so I'm not catching how the Thompson's missed any of the signs!

Sure, Buc-ee's is known for being a huge rest stop, however, 18-wheelers are forbidden, and despite the Thompson's semi-truck only taking up two parking spaces, they were escorted out of the store.

Dawn says that they were asked to leave in the middle of shopping; they were ready to pay when two Buc-ee's employees informed them they weren't allowed to purchase anything and that they had to leave! that's kind of messed up!

According to the San Antonio Express News, Buc-ee's general counsel Jeff Nadalo explained that the company's parking lots and driveways aren't designed to accommodate truckers and that they're made only for passenger vehicles.

Dawn says she did reach out twice to the company but has yet to receive an answer. Luckily, I don't have a semi, so when the day comes, I'll be ready for Buc-ee's!

One of Texas' biggest Buc-ee's just turned 8 in Temple.

Temple, Texas is home to one of the biggest Buc-ee's, and just turned 8 years old.
