Thieves Take Bite Out of Oscar Mayer Wienermobile During Super Bowl Appearance
No one is safe.
The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile was recently targeted by thieves while it was in Las Vegas for a number of Super Bowl appearances.
According to multiple reports, thieves stole the catalytic converter from the vehicle, and it wasn't noticed until someone attempted to start the vehicle as they prepared for the next appearance.
The Wienermobile was taken to the shop and mechanics were able to manufacture a quick/temporary fix so that the vehicle could continue to operate and make it to the next scheduled appearance.
Those responsible for the theft of the Wienermobile have yet to be identified by police.
Catalytic converters are in high demand on the streets and on the "black market," thus which is why we've seen so many vehicles vandalized for such across the country.
We're just glad that the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile was not sidelined for very long and it was able to continue on its way.
