Sip Wine and Enjoy the Majestic Beauty of Rhinos at this Winery in Texas
Where else could you enjoy some of the finest wines while also enjoying the view of majestic rhinos? It might sound like a weird question, but the answer would be "the Rhinory".
The Rhinory
The Rhinory (rhino+winery=Rhinory), located in Texas' Hill Country in Fredericksburg, where apparently it is considered wine country, you're offered a unique experience where you can sip on wine and help out with the conservation of rhinos.
The 55 acre ranch offers you world class wines and an educational course on rhino conservation; also, you get to pet them! Their most famous rhino who demands your attention is Blake.
The Rhinory has only been opened for about a year but it's obvious that it is becoming one of the coolest wine tasting experiences in all of the Lone Star state.
While the Rhinory is located in the Hill Country, many believe that a visit here transports you to Africa, one reviewer wrote:
I felt like if I traveled to Africa for a brief moment as I entered the premises. Drinking wine in support of endangered species was special to me and the Rose was my absolute favorite. The rhino keeper did a fantastic job on educating my husband and I with importance of Rhinoceros conservation.
You can book a tasting with or without the full Rhino experience. When you purchase the Rhino Experience, 100% of the fee goes directly to rhino conservation.
