On the first day of high school at Jefferson/ Silva high school, after meeting a group of new kids a politely put out my hand for a handshake. The person I was trying to shake hands with quickly slapped my hand slit it and made his hand into a fist.

That was my introduction to the El Paso slide and pound.

For years now every time I meet someone in El Paso, I'll have to do is put up my hand slide it and then fist bump them. And believe me, this doesn't work outside of El Paso. Other places have their own unique style of greeting whether it involves snapping fingers or giving a hip bump.

But to me, the classic El Paso handshake is set. And I'm wondering if the rest of El Paso agrees. Are the slide and pound the official El Paso handshake or do you know of something else that other people do that's more common?

According to Urban Dictionary, The El Paso Hand Shake is, "The act of spreading peanut butter upon a tortilla, microwaving it, then proceeding to masturbate to completion into your south of the border cock sheath. Optional: border jumping is eating your lover afterward."
