We finally have the first look at The Walking Dead's Christian Serratos as Tejano Queen Selena Quintanilla for the Netflix series. Latinas all over have been having mixed feelings knowing there is a Selena series in the works over at Netflix. Of all the Networks and streaming services, I have the most faith in Netflix but still, it makes you nervous. Then, American actress Christian Serratos was cast as our beloved Selena, best known as Rosita from the Walking Dead. Now, Netflix has announced the full cast for the series and a quick look at Serratos in character as Quintanilla for Selena: The Series.

According to Deadline, the series will be a coming of age story showing her rise to fame during the 1980s. Some of the other actors and actresses poised to star in the series include:

  • Ricardo Chavira will play Abraham Quintanilla, Selena's father. The actor is known for his role in Desperate Housewives.
  • Gabriel Chavarria will play A.B. Quintanilla, Selena's brother. The actor is known for his role in The Purge.
  • Noemi Gonzalez will play Suzette Quintanilla, Selena's sister. The actress is known for her role in the daytime soap The Young and the Restless.
  • Seidy Lopez will play Marcella Quintanilla, Selena's mother. The actress is known for her role in Training Day.
  • Madison Taylor Baez is a newcomer to the acting world and will be playing the young Selena on the show.

Selena: The Series will have 6 hour-long episodes and filming for the show has begun.
