While there are many different types of flowers you can send to your loved one, I think we all know that red roses are the most popular pick; they signify romance and passion! But just how much are you willing to shell out for a dozen of roses?

The National Retail Federation predicts Valentine's spending will reach $27.5 billion this year- which is a record high. But how much of that is actually just going to roses?

Luckily, for those of you who haven't ordered roses yet, FinanceBuzz has an answer for you on how much you are looking at for a dozen roses.

FinanceBuzz looked at the price of a dozen red roses from flower shops and florists in every single state! FinanceBuzz's report found the average cost for a Valentine’s Day bouquet in the U.S. is $90.50, which is a 13% increase from last year!

But how much are those in Texas looking to spend? Well, the answer is not that great. FinanceBuzz found that the average cost in Texas for a dozen roses is $110.00. That means roses in Texas are 21.54% more expensive than the national average.

Listen, it could be worst; the state where a dozen roses cost the most is Hawaii at $143.32. That's 58% more expensive than the national average!
