Texas students from Kindergarten through high school are eligible to enter a couple of contests to win scholarships and prizes.

There are two contests, we'll start with the scholarships. According to TxDoT. "any Texas high school senior currently attending public, private or home school and planning to attend an accredited college or university in the coming year may enter." The scholarships are for $5,000, $4,000 and $3,000 dollars.

Younger Texas students ... and their teachers ... can win some cool prizes in the Art Contest. Students in all grades can submit their own artwork, promoting the Don’t mess with Texas and/or Keep Texas Beautiful litter prevention messages, for the 2021 Don’t mess with Texas Calendar. Winners get a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 tablet and a gift basket from Buc-ee’s. The winners' teacher gets a gift card from H-E-B/Central Market.
