Texas Family’s Tortilla Hack Saves Baby Bird
A baby bird in Texas has a chance at a great life thanks to a fast-acting family and a warm tortilla! Warm tortillas are the best; they're delicious, they make great snacks and now, they make great bird warmers!
The Wild West Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Amarillo, Texas shared an incredible story about a call they received of an orphaned baby bird.
When asked if they had already placed the orphaned baby bird in a box, the family member responded by saying: "we wrapped him in a warm tortilla."
Here is the baby bird in said warm tortilla!
The family was already outside barbequing when they noticed the baby bird- and they acted fast by warming the tortilla on the grill!
The center said of the tortilla wrap:
Undoubtedly, it was an inventive method to keep the baby warm, and surprisingly, it was effective. The hatchling is currently en route back to the facility. Wildlife Rescue is always filled with lively and unexpected moments.
