Texas Customs Agents Make Major, Weird Seizure
Customs Agents in Presidio, Texas just made a major seizure of drugs, money and you'll never guess what else ...
Drugs, guns, cash, criminals, stolen vehicles, counterfeit designer clothing, illegal prescriptions, stolen vehicles ... meh. That kind of stuff pops up all the time when you're working one of the international bridges.
That's not all United States Border officials come across though ...
There are lots of things that are illegal to bring into the United States of America. Animals, certain plants and foods ... there's a lot so you might want to click here before you try importing anything.
Some things just get confiscated, others may bring you a little trouble and others, of course, get you a one way ticket to prison-ville. Again, I strongly recommend that you know before you go.
A lady crossing the border near Presidio, Texas just learned a hard lesson about not reading the do's and dont's of border crossing. She had her whole, 748 pound stash of bologna seized. 748 pounds. That's a F - load of sammies. That's not what really got her in hot water though.
It was the 280 boxes of undeclared prescription medications and $7,600 in hidden money that really sealed the deal. I totally understand why she wouldn't want to tell the customs peeps about all that stuff but failing to declare things is also a crime.
So, adding insult to injury, failing to notify the customs agents about the meat, the dope and the cash also got the lady a $1,000 fine. Declaring illegal items may get you arrested but, hey, it'll save you a grand.
