What could be more American than Big Mac's? In news you might have missed, because who else would be doing this research, according to new data, Texas offers the lowest Big Mac price across all 50 states, which is good news for burger fans and budget eaters alike.
We all know the jingle: two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame-seed bun. What other burger has its own jingle? It's perhaps the most famous burger in America! While Big Mac's may not be the healthiest of choices, it certainly hits the spot every now and then, and while it may be everywhere, the price you'll pay for one definitely depends on where you are in the country!
Texas Has the Least Expensive Big Mac of Any State
Great news for us, a new study found that customers in Texas are actually getting the best deal. A Big Mac in the state costs $4.67 on average. This comes from CashNetUSA, who manually collected prices using the official McDonald's app in the biggest cities across America and calculated the average price of a Big Mac to determine the locations with the most and least expensive Big Macs.
A quick check on the app will show that a Big Mac in El Paso, Texas is actually a big more than the average- coming in at $4.99.
Texas also ranks as one of the most affordable for McDonald's. A large Big Mac meal costs an average of $9.08, which is 41.1% of the state’s average hourly wage.
Remember when Big Mac's were, like, $2?! At least we're not paying over $5 for one like in some cities!
