5 Texas Adult Stars That Tragically Died Way Too Young

It's a sad story when you see people die at a young age & that's tragically been the case for adult stars in Texas, New Mexico & Arizona. Many adult film stars who were born in these states have died young or, in some cases, DIED in one of these states (as we'll see later).

Shannon Michelle Wilsey aka Savannah (October 9, 1970 - July 11, 1994)

While most people know she lived in California most of her life, Savannah spent most of her childhood in Dallas, Texas. She became well-known for dating rock stars like Vince Neil, Slash & David Lee Roth.

On July 11, 1994, Shannon died after being taken off life support from an attempted suicide following a car crash. Shannon was only 23 years old.

Melinda Dee Taylor aka Chloe Jones, (June 17, 1975 - June 4, 2005)

The famed actress from Silsbee, Hardin County, Texas (outside of Houston), Melinda Dee Taylor started working in the adult film industry under the name "Chloe Jones" in 1995. In addition to being the Penthouse Pet of 1998, she was a frequent guest on the Howard Stern Show.

Her life came to a tragic end due to liver failure just before her 30th birthday. Even today, some people have gone to show their respects by visiting her grave site at Woodland Cemetery in Houston.

Kagney Linn Karter (March 28, 1987 -  February 15, 2024)

Another Houston, Texas native was Kagney Linn Karter. She started doing adult movies in 2008 & was Penthouse's Pet of the Month in June 2009.

After struggling with mental health problems, Kagney would sadly take her own life at her home in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. Kagney was 36 years old.

Zoe Parker (March 27, 1996 - September 12, 2020)

The retired adult actress from Arlington, Texas, Zoe Parker performed in over 100 movies between 2014-2018. After leaving the porn industry, Zoe moved back to Texas in 2020 & found happiness by announcing she would be married.

Sadly she died in her sleep as confirmed by her fiancé in their Weatherford, Texas home on September 12. Zoe was just 24 years old.

Jesse Jane (July 16, 1980 - January 25, 2024)

Fans of Drowning Pool will recognize Jesse Jane from Fort Worth, Texas as the beautiful woman on the cover of their album Desensitized. Jesse was also seen on the show Entourage.

Jesse Jane & her boyfriend would die from an apparent drug overdose at their home in Moore, OK. Even years after the album came out, Drowning Pool paid tribute to Jesse in a Facebook post.

There are 2 other tragic stories I want to shed light on...

Violet Rain from Phoenix, Arizona died before she reached 20 years old

Violet Rain, aka Jazmine Nicole Dominguez, from Phoenix, Arizona was a club in Los Angeles, California who flew onto the floor and died shortly afterwards. She was found to have died from anoxic encephalopathy from a mixture of alcohol & cocaine in her system.

To many people, her death was extremely tragic because Violet died only at the age of 19 years old.

Thankfully there are people who, just like with Melinda Dee Taylor, ALSO show their respects by visiting her grave site at Mesa Cemetery in Mesa, Arizona.

Sophia Leone was murdered in New Mexico in 2024

The final name on our list is the most current one (at the moment): Sophia Leone who was born in Miami, Florida. Sophia was killed in a "possible home invasion" at her apartment in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Sophia was just 26 years old, making it (AT LEAST) the 3rd death in the adult film industry in 2024.

No matter their profession, these people still had families & friends who cared about them & they will be missed. R.I.P. to all these lives, and the ones that we haven't talked about here, that have died way before their time...
