Texas Now Home To The 3rd Tallest Statue In The USA
Texas already had the world's largest statue, located right here in El Paso, and now we have another statue that's top 3 in the USA.
Everything is bigger in Texas 'ya know. We already have The Equestrian in front of the El Paso International Airport which is the world's largest statue. It's not the tallest statue in Texas though, that one is in east Texas.
Now Texas has another statue to brag about. It just took the #1 spot in Texas as far as height and is the 3rd tallest statue in the entire USA.
The tallest statue in the lone star state was A Tribute To Courage ... a 67 foot tall monument to Sam Houston in Huntsville, Texas. So much for that though, the Texas hero was just upstaged by, what appears to be, a really big monkey.
He's half man, half monkey actually ... and a Hindu God.
The Statue Of Union was just unveiled near Houston, in Sugar Land, Texas. Standing 90 feet, this guy beat Sam by about 23 feet. (It's only 13 feet if you count the base the Sam Houston statue stands on but, either way, it's still a win.)
Statue of Union is the 3rd tallest statue in the United States of America.
