The triple digit temperatures have arrived for Summer, 2026 and the city of El Paos is opening cooling centers all over town. They aren't the only places to cool off though ...

Summer's coming, (officially, unofficially I think it started in March), and it's gonna be a hot one. No surprise there but if you're new to summer in the 915, don't leave these things in your car.

Winter, (the whole day and a half of it we got), is over in El Paso and don't count on any spring. Forget early summer too, Mother Nature's going straight to hot in the 915.

Water bottles come in handy and just about everybody carries one around these days since regular water sucks but they can become dangerous if left in a hot car. Temperatures in closed vehicles rise very high and very quickly.

El Paso, Texas and the rest of the USA saw record setting temps. They were crazy in 2023 and then went even higher in '24. We were even named the 3rd fastest warming city in the USA. There's no telling what 2025 will bring but, even if it stays "normal", it will still be hot. Be sure you drink plenty of water and know the signs of dehydration.

They're senseless and totally preventable deaths. Despite that, Texas leads the nation.
