Sun Metro Giving Free Bus Rides, Discount Rates To Veterans

Sun Metro is giving free bus rides as well as a discounted rate to veterans in El Paso. Also, juveniles can get free rides to summer programs!

Sun Metro is doing their part to try and help veterans and young people get rides to the places they want to go!

Homeless veterans that are trying to find jobs can receive up to 90 days of free transportation to help them get to job interviews and find businesses that are hiring.

Sun Metro is also offering bus passes at a reduced rate for veterans in need. Social services agencies are able to get bus passes for their clients for only $30 a month.

Sun Metro also is trying to help young people in the area get to the summer programs they want to attend. Free rides will be given to qualifying young adults on June 1st and continue through August 1st.

Local youth who attend nonprofit organizations with summer programs will qualify for these free rides. Kids between 6 to 18 years old who attend qualifying summer programs will eligible. Kids under 12 will also be given a companion pass so they can be accompanied by someone over 12.
