Sun Bowl Stadium Is Shrinking

The stadium is being remodeled and the new design will cause its capacity to drop by 5,000 seats.

Sun Bowl Stadium is being redesigned and a new system is being put in place where people earn points to determine where they sit and where they park.  Points are awarded based on several different factors including donations to the athletic fund, being a UTEP alumni, UTEP staff and other things.

Miner Priority Points was developed to assist with the reallocation of seating. Fans will have an opportunity to select their seats in the revitalized Sun Bowl beginning in spring 2019, based on the Miner Priority Points that they have accrued.
