Okay, going back to the Cold War may not sound too inviting. But this *updated* Cold War spot to stay in Roswell can take you back to a time that certainly was simpler. It's also one-of-a-kind.

Driving up to this Airbnb is sure to be unlike any other experience. That’s because you won’t exactly see a home when you pull into the driveway, per se.

Nope.

Check it out. Instead, you’ll drive onto what looks like a launch pad. The “home” you’ll be staying in - is UNDERground.

You read that right. The home is advertised as “True Cold War Relic Atlas F Missile Silo/Bunker.”

According to the description, an underground “Launch Control Center” leads to a “186 ft deep Missile Silo. The major construction/refurbishment areas have been transformed into an incredible underground home and office, offering a one-of-a-kind experience.”

The post says a stay also includes a tour of the facility and its history.

Despite it sounding very cut off from society, you can get many of the modern day amenities during your stay (cellular service, WiFi and a fully-stocked kitchen). There is even a 52” TV with Netflix.

The private apartment is 1,250 square feet and the post says the place includes two single beds and four air mattresses.

It looks like it will run you about $400/night before the fees, unless you’re booking last minute and it’s available, then it’s closer to $300.

It might not be for everyone, but it sure is unique and could leave you with some stories to tell. That is if the world still exists when you emerge from your underground bunker.
