So Your Ceiling is Dripping Blood? Here are Some Handy Tips
An El Paso woman was awakened by what she thought was a leak in the ceiling of her apartment. She was right. Her upstairs neighbor was leaking blood because he had been dead for several days.
You might think that having a dead person’s blood dripping on you in the middle of the night is the WORST way to be awakened. You would be wrong, though. As this story shows, you could have a ceiling fan that’s just slangin’ the blood all over the room. YIKES!
Ana Cardenas, understandably, was confused. Let’s call it “The 4 Stages of Realizing You’re in a Horror Movie”.
1.) I must be having a bad dream.
2.) Is this blood mine??
3.) OK, I’m reporting this to the maintenance crew.
4.) Great. THEY think I’m crazy. How am I going to explain this to the 911 operator?
Eventually, Ms. Cardenas got fireman and police to respond and they made the grisly discovery of the deceased upstairs neighbor (foul play was not suspected).
So if you ever find yourself in a similar situations and you’re not sure if you should call your building superintendent, the cops or Ghostbusters…here’s a checklist of questions to ask yourself first:
1.) Is my apartment/house/remote cabin built over an ancient Indian burial ground?
2.) Did I unknowingly summon a lesser demon, perhaps Pazuzu?
3.) Did I either intentionally or unintentionally insult an old gypsy woman?
If you answered “yes” to any of those questions, don’t bother calling 911. This is obviously a job for two priests (one young and the other old).
