Former Stone Temple Pilots lead singer Scott Weiland has died.

Scott Weiland, former Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver lead singer and current singer for Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts, has died.

According to TMZ, Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts were scheduled to play a show in Minnesota tonight when he was discovered dead on the tour bus. The show was at the Medina Ballroom.

Scott Weiland was found on the bus around 9 p.m. before the band was supposed to take the stage.

Weiland was well known to have battled substance abuse problems for years, but no details have been released yet on his cause of death.
