A press release from their record label said:

The bad boys of rock have sold millions of albums and performed thousands of concerts over their celebrated 35 year career. In January 2014, Mötley Crüe held a press conference announcing their final tour ever, complete with a “cessation of touring” agreement prohibiting any and all future live engagements under the Mötley Crüe name. The Final Tour ended up being comprised of 164 concerts across five continents, all ending with a hometown gig at Los Angeles' Staples Center, not too far from the legendary Sunset Strip where they started, on December 31, 2015. This New Year’s Eve Celebration, the ultimate celebration for thousands of die-hard fans that were lucky enough to be at Staples Center that evening, was filled with hits like Kickstart My HeartGirls Girls GirlsHome Sweet Home and many more. And now, for fans that couldn’t be on hand live in Los Angeles on that final night, (or for those that want to relive the epic conclusion), this last ever performance is coming to big screens across the nation. Catch the moments that were buzzed about, such as Tommy’s infamous “Crüecifly” drum roller coaster, and behind-the-scene moments that will now just be coming to light.
