Scheduled Road Construction And Closures For El Paso This Week

While the city is ecstatic the Border West Expressway is finally open, there is still quite a lot of construction happening on El Paso Roads. We've finally seen some of the major road projects coming to a close, and the improvements are making the commutes home better and better! Still, there are some projects that are just getting started or are getting the finishing touches. To make sure you're not stuck sitting in traffic due to construction on your commute, you've come to the right place. Loop 375 Frontage Road Project

Mon, Dec. 9 (6 pm to 6 am)

• Loop 375 southbound to northbound turnaround at North Loop Drive reduced to one lane

District-Wide Striping Project

Mon, Dec. 9
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and/or 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. (overnight/different time and location)

• I-10 alternating eastbound and westbound lanes between Zaragoza Road and Viscount Boulevard
• I-10 alternating eastbound and westbound entrance and exit ramps between Zaragoza Road and Viscount Boulevard

Mon, Dec. 9 through Fri, Dec. 13
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and/or 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. (different time and location)

• I-10 alternating eastbound and westbound lanes between Airway Boulevard and West Schuster Avenue
• I-10 alternating eastbound and westbound entrance and exit ramps between Airway Boulevard and West Schuster Avenue

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and/or 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

• Montana Avenue (US62/180) alternating eastbound and westbound lanes between Dana Road and Hueco Ranch Road

• Montana (US62/180) alternating eastbound and westbound lanes between Stuart Ranch Rd and Rest Area

Spall Repair Project

Mon, Dec. 9 - Thurs, Dec. 12 (9 pm to 5 am)

• Alternating two-lane closures of I-10 Eastbound from Stanton to Wyoming.
• Alternating two-lane closures of I-10 Eastbound from Cotton to Geronimo.

I-10 Ramp Improvements - Phase 2

Mon, Dec. 9 through Wed, Dec. 11 (9 am to 4 pm)

• Right shoulder I-10 Westbound from Robert E Lee overpass to Geronimo off-ramp. Left lane closed at Gateway Blvd West from Robert E Lee to Geronimo off-ramp.
• Left lane closure on Gateway Blvd West from Robert E Lee to Geronimo off-ramp.
• Right shoulder closure from Airway on-ramp to Geronimo off-ramp on I-10 Westbound.

Mon, Dec. 9 through Fri, Dec. 13 (9 am to 4 pm)

• East to West and West to East turnarounds at Airway closed.

I-10 Riprap Project

Mon, Dec. 9 through Fri, Dec. 13

• I-10 Westbound at Resler exit ramp closed (Exit 12)

US-54 Widening and Illumination Project

Sun, Dec. 8 (9 pm to 5 am)

COMPLETE CLOSURE

• US-54 South from Loop 375 Transmountain to Diana
• US-54 North from Diana to Loop 375 Transmountain

Mon, Dec. 9 (9:45 am to 5 pm)

• The intersection at Transmountain will be in flashing mode to install new traffic signal.

I-10 Connect Project

Mon, Dec. 9, - Thurs, Dec. 12 (9 pm to 5 am NIGHTLY)

• SH 20 (Alameda Avenue) will be closed to all traffic at US 54.

Tues, Dec. 10, between 9 pm and 4 am

• Southbound US 54 will be subject to intermittent complete closures at I-10.

Tues, Dec. 10, and Wed, Dec. 11 (9 pm to 5 am NIGHTLY)

• Ramp E which connects Gateway Boulevard South to southbound US 54 at Yandell Drive will be closed to all traffic.

Wed, Dec. 18, and Thurs, Dec. 19 (9 pm to 5 am NIGHTLY)

• I-10 will be closed to all traffic at US 54.
• Ramp C which connects northbound US 54 to eastbound I-10 will be closed to all traffic.
• Ramp L which connects Gateway Boulevard West to westbound I-10 at Raynolds Street will be closed to all traffic.
