Scheduled Road Construction And Closures For El Paso This Week

While the city is ecstatic the Border West Expressway is finally open, there is still quite a lot of construction happening on El Paso Roads. We've finally seen some of the major road projects coming to a close, and the improvements are making the commutes home better and better! Still, there are some projects that are just getting started or are getting the finishing touches. To make sure you're not stuck sitting in traffic due to construction on your commute, you've come to the right place. West Area Closures

Miscellaneous Concrete Project

Tuesday, July 7 (9 am - 4 pm)

• Executive westbound between Loop 375 and Paisano right lane closed.

Transmountain Project

Monday, July 6 - Friday, July 10 (9 am - 4 pm)

• Loop 375 westbound/eastbound reduced to one lane in both directions from Tom Mays Park to rest area. Bike lane is closed.
• US-54 westbound between Transmountain and Gateway South for about 2.5 miles closed.
• Transmountain eastbound last picnic area between Gateway South and US-54 closed.

Mesa Park Interchange Project

Monday, July 6, 9 pm - Tuesday, July 7, 6 am

• I-10 westbound at Executive, complete closure.

Tuesday, July 7, 9 pm - Wednesday, July 8, 6 am

• I-10 westbound at Executive, complete closure.

Wednesday, July 8, 9 pm - Friday, July 10, 6 am

• I-10 eastbound at Executive and Executive on-ramp complete closure.

Friday, July 10, 10 pm - Saturday, July 11, 10 am

• I-10 eastbound at Sunland Park, complete closure.
• I-10 westbound at Schuster, complete closure.

Sunday, July 12, 4 am - Monday, July 13, 6 am

• I-10 eastbound complete closure at Sunland Park and I-10 westbound complete closure at Schuster.

Guardrail Repair Project

Monday, July 6 (9 am - 4 pm)

• I-10 westbound at Copia off-ramp closed.

Tuesday, July 7 (9 am - 4 pm)

• I-10 westbound between Sunland Park and Resler left lane closed.

Wednesday, July 8 (9 am - 4 pm)

• Transmountain westbound between US-54 and Wilderness Museum left lane closed.

Dyer Overlay Project

Monday, July 6 - Friday, July 10 (9 am - 4 pm)

• Dyer northbound/southbound between Sanders and South Angora Loop alternate lane closures.

Martin Luther King Overlay Project

Monday, July 6 - Friday, July 10 (6 am - 6 pm)

• Martin Luther King northbound/southbound between US-54 and Loma Real alternate lane closures.

Stan Roberts Overlay Project

Monday, July 6 through Friday, July 10 (6 am - 6 pm)

• Stan Roberts westbound/eastbound between Martin Luther King and McCombs alternate lane closures.

McCombs Overlay Project

Monday, July 6 - Friday, July 10 (6 am - 6 pm)

• McCombs northbound/southbound between New Mexico State Line and US-54 alternate lane closures.

East Area Closures

Loop 375 Frontage Road Project

Monday, July 6 - Friday, July 10 (9 am - 4 pm DAILY)

• South Americas Avenue (frontage road only) northbound to southbound turnaround complete closure at Socorro Road
• South Americas Avenue southbound traveling public detour at Socorro Road exit

Monday, July 6 - Friday, July 10 (9 pm - 5 am NIGHTLY)

• South Americas Avenue (frontage road only) southbound North Loop entrance ramp
• South Americas Avenue southbound traveling public detour from North Loop Drive to Zaragoza

Zaragoza/Montwood Improvement Project

Monday, July 6 (7 am - 4 pm DAILY TFN)

• Zaragoza Road northbound complete lane closure between Walmart/Chick-Fil-A driveway and McDonalds (all businesses will have one driveway open)

Monday, July 6 (7 am - 4 pm DAILY TFN)

• Joe Battle Boulevard and Zaragoza Road intersection southbound to northbound turnaround closure

RM 652 Full Rehabilitation Project

Monday, July 6 (7 am - 7 pm DAILY TFN)

• RM 652 continuous left lane closure 8.36 miles east of FM 3541 to Reeves County Line
• Continuous 2-way traffic, 1-lane work zone requiring traffic to be alternating onto one lane and controlled by Temporary Traffic Signals with a 14’ vertical clearance

RM 652 Full Depth Rehabilitation Project

Monday, July 6 - Friday, July 31 (7 am - 7 pm DAILY)

• RM 652 continuous left lane closure 5.4 miles east of Montana Avenue (US 62/180) to RM 1165/652
• Continuous 2-way traffic, 1-lane work zone requiring traffic to be alternating onto one lane and controlled by Temporary Traffic Signals with a 18’ vertical clearance

FM 3541 Rehabilitation Project

Monday, July 6 - Friday, Sept 4 (7 am - 7 pm DAILY)

• FM3541 southbound and northbound right lane closure 0.5 mile south of FM 652
• FM3541 southbound and northbound individual gravel lane bypassing work zone area

I-10 Connect Project Closures

Tuesday, July 7, - Thursday, July 10 (9 am - 4 pm DAILY)

• The on-ramp which connects Gateway Boulevard South to southbound US 54 north of Pershing Drive will be closed to all traffic.
• Lane closures will be in place on southbound US 54 between Pershing Drive and Montana Avenue.
