Scheduled Road Construction And Closures For El Paso This Week

While the city is ecstatic the Border West Expressway is finally open, there is still quite a lot of construction happening on El Paso Roads. We've finally seen some of the major road projects coming to a close, and the improvements are making the commutes home better and better! Still, there are some projects that are just getting started or are getting the finishing touches. To make sure you're not stuck sitting in traffic due to construction on your commute, you've come to the right place. West Area Closures

Pothole Repair Project

Monday, June 29 - Friday, July 3 (9 am - 4 pm)

• Mesa northbound between Remcon and Sunland Park alternate lane closures.

Spall Repair Project

Monday, June 29 - Thursday, July 2 (9 pm - 5 am NIGHTLY)

• I-10 westbound between Piedras and Downtown alternate lane closures.

Transmountain Project

Monday, June 29 - Friday, July 3 (9 am - 4 pm)

• Loop 375 westbound/eastbound reduced to one lane in both directions from Tom Mays Park to rest area.  Bike lane is closed.
• US-54 westbound between Transmountain and Gateway South for about 2.5 miles closed.
• Transmountain eastbound last picnic area between Gateway South and US-54 closed.

Mesa Park Interchange Project

Monday, June 29 (9 pm - 6 am)

• Full closure of I-10 eastbound from Sunland Park to Executive

Guardrail Repair Project

Monday, June 29 (9 am - 4 pm)

• I-10 westbound at Paisano on-ramp closed.

Tuesday, June 30 (9 am - 4 pm)

• I-10 westbound between Transmountain and Vinton left lane closed.

Wednesday, July 1 (9 am - 4 pm)

• US-54 southbound Fort Bliss on-ramp closed.

Thursday, July 2 (9 am - 4 pm)

• I-10 eastbound between Resler and Sunland Park left lane closed.

Friday, July 3 (9 am - 4 pm)

• I-10 eastbound Piedras on-ramp closed.
• I-10 eastbound Copia off-ramp closed.

Mesa Rehabilitation Project

Monday, June 29 - Thursday, July 2 (9 pm - 5 am)

• Mesa northbound lanes between Mesita and Brentwood complete closure.

Dyer Overlay Project

Monday, June 29 - Friday, July 3 (9 am - 4 pm)

• Dyer northbound/southbound between Sanders and South Angora Loop alternate lane closures.

Martin Luther King Overlay Project

Monday, June 29 - Friday, July 3 (6 am - 6 pm)

• Martin Luther King northbound/southbound between US-54 and Loma Real alternate lane closures.

Stan Roberts Overlay Project

Monday, June 29 - Friday, July 3 (6 am - 6 pm)

• Stan Roberts westbound/eastbound between Martin Luther King and McCombs alternate lane closures.

McCombs Overlay Project

Monday, June 29 - Friday, July 3 (6 am - 6 pm)

• McCombs northbound/southbound between New Mexico State Line and US-54 alternate lane closures.

Mesa Safety Improvement Project

Monday, June 29 - Friday, July 3 (8 am - 4 pm)

• Mesa between Festival and Crown Point alternate lane closures.
• Mesa between Cincinnati and Gregory alternate lane closures.
• Mesa between Castellano and Montecillo alternate lane closures.
• Follow all detours until further notice.

Maintenance Project

Friday, June 26 - Friday, July 3 (8 am - 3 pm)

• Woodrow Bean eastbound/westbound between Bomarc and Railroad alternate lane closures.
• Intersection at North/South Desert and Redd alternate lane closures.
• Crews will be milling.
• FM 1905 eastbound/westbound between Doniphan and New Mexico State Line shoulder closed.
• Gateway South between Dyer and Ellerthorpe right lane closed.

East Area Closures

Loop 375 Frontage Road Project

Monday, June 29 - Tuesday, June 30 (9 am - 4 pm DAILY)

• South Americas Avenue (frontage road only) northbound to southbound turnaround complete closure at Socorro Road
• South Americas Avenue southbound traveling public detour at Socorro Road exit

FM 3541 Rehabilitation Project

Monday, June 29 - Friday, Sept 04 (7 am - 7 pm DAILY)

• FM3541 southbound and northbound right lane closure 0.5 mile south of FM 652
• FM3541 southbound and northbound individual gravel lane bypassing work zone area

District Wide Striping Project

Monday, June 29 - Friday, July 03 (9 am - 4 pm and/or 9 pm - 6 am )

• I-10 alternating eastbound and westbound lanes between Zaragoza Road and Viscount Boulevard to include intersections, entrance and exit ramps
• 1-10 alternating eastbound and westbound lanes between Airway Boulevard and Schuster to include intersections, entrance and exit ramps

I-10 Connect Project Closures

Monday, June 29, & Tuesday, June 30 (9 pm - 5 am NIGHTLY)

• SH 20 (Alameda Avenue) will be closed to all traffic at US 54.

Monday, June 29, - Wednesday, July 1 (9 am - 4 pm DAILY)

• Lane closures will be in place in the collector/distributor (C/D) lanes on northbound US 54 at Cassidy Road.
