Scheduled Road Construction And Closures For El Paso This Week

While the city is ecstatic the Border West Expressway is finally open, there is still quite a lot of construction happening on El Paso Roads. We've finally seen some of the major road projects coming to a close, and the improvements are making the commutes home better and better! Still, there are some projects that are just getting started or are getting the finishing touches. To make sure you're not stuck sitting in traffic due to construction on your commute, you've come to the right place. West El Paso Closures

Pothole Repair

Mon, May 4 - Fri, May 8 (9 am - 4 pm)

• Mesa Street South from Remcon to Sunland Park alternate lane closures to repair pot holes

Transmountain

Mon, May 4 - Fri, May 8 (7 am - 4 pm)

• Loop 375 westbound/eastbound reduced to one lane in both directions from Tom Mays Park to second rest area. Bike lane will be closed.
• Detour - I-10 in both directions to US-54 until further notice

Zaragoza

Sun, May 3 - Thurs, May 7 (9 pm - 5 am NIGHTLY)

• Zaragoza from North Loop to Gateway West northbound/southbound alternate lane closures.

I-10 Ramp Improvements Project – Phase 2

Mon, May 4 - Fri, May 8 (9 am - 4 pm)

• Airway turnarounds in both directions closed.
• Viscount/Hunter turnarounds in both directions closed.
• Hawkins turnarounds in both directions closed.
• Gateway East/West from Viscount/Hunter to Airway alternate lane closures.

I-10 Ramp Improvements Project – Phase 2, Cont’d.

Sun, May 3 - Thurs, May 7 (9 pm - 5 am NIGHTLY)

• Gateway East from Airway to Humble complete closure

Mesa Rehabilitation Project

Mon, May 1 - Fri, May 8 (7 am - 5 pm)

• Mesa northbound between University and Baltimore right lane closed.

Guardrail Repair Project

Thursday, May 7 (9 am - 4 pm)

• I-10 East at Transmountain on-ramp complete closure.

Friday, May 8 (9 am - 4 pm)

• I-10 East connecting ramp from US-54 to I-10 right lane closed.
• I-10 at Paisano off-ramp complete closure.

I-10 Connect Project Closures

Tuesday, May 5 (9 am - 4 pm)

• Lane closures will be in place in the southbound US 54 Collector-Distributor Lanes between Pershing Drive and Montana Avenue.
• Crews will be placing a new dynamic message sign.

Thurs, May 7, and Fri, May 8 (9 am - 4 pm DAILY)

• The on-ramp from Gateway Boulevard South to southbound US 54 north of Pershing Drive will be closed to all traffic.
• Lane closures will be in place in the southbound US 54 Collector-Distributor Lanes between Pershing Drive and Montana Avenue.

East El Paso Closures

Loop 375 Frontage Road Project

Monday, May 4 (9 am - 4 pm DAILY)

• Loop 375 South COMPLETE CLOSURE at North Loop Drive entrance ramp
• Americas Avenue southbound right auxiliary lane closure at North Loop Drive

Monday, May 4 (9 am - 4 pm DAILY)

• Americas Avenue southbound alternating lane closures between North Loop Drive and Zaragoza Road
• Americas Avenue northbound alternating lane closures between Americas Avenue and Socorro Road
• Americas Avenue northbound to southbound turnaround at Alameda Avenue closed
• Loop 375 southbound complete closure at Socorro Road entrance ramp (no longer in use)
• Loop 375 northbound complete closure at Zaragoza Road entrance ramp between South Americas to Pan American (no longer in use)

Zaragoza/Montwood Improvement Project

Monday, May 4 (7 am - 4 pm DAILY)

• Zaragoza northbound complete lane closure between Walmart/Chick-Fil-A driveway and McDonalds (all businesses will have one driveway open)

RM 652 Full Rehabilitation Project

Monday, May 4 7 am - 4 pm DAILY)

• RM 652 continuous right lane closure 8.36 miles east of FM 3541 to Reeves County Line

FM 3541 Rehabilitation Project

Mon, May 4 - Fri, July 24 (7 am - 4 pm DAILY)

• FM3541 southbound and northbound right lane closure 0.5 mile south of FM 652
