Scheduled Road Construction And Closures For El Paso This Week

While the city is ecstatic the Border West Expressway is finally open, there is still quite a lot of construction happening on El Paso Roads. We've finally seen some of the major road projects coming to a close, and the improvements are making the commutes home better and better! Still, there are some projects that are just getting started or are getting the finishing touches. To make sure you're not stuck sitting in traffic due to construction on your commute, you've come to the right place. Mall Braided Ramps Project

Mon, March 23 - Fri, March 27 (7 a.m. - 4 p.m. DAILY)

• Gateway Boulevard eastbound left lane closure at Hawkins Boulevard intersection

I-10 Ramp Improvements – Phase 2

Mon, March 23 - Fri, March 27 (9 a.m. - 4 p.m. DAILY)

• I-10 at Airway turnarounds closed in both directions.
• I-10 at Airway underpass southbound right lane closure.
• I-10 at Hawkins northbound right turn lane closed.

Mon, March 23 - Fri, March 27 (9 p.m. - 5 a.m. NIGHTLY)

• I-10 eastbound from Hawkins to Hunter/Viscount full closure.
• Gateway Blvd East alternate lane closures from Hawkins to Hunter/Viscount.
• Gateway Blvd West alternate lane closures from Hunter/Viscount to Hawkins.
• Gateway Blvd West alternate lane closures from Hawkins to Airway.
• Full closure Viscount southbound at Acer St.

I-10 Riprap Project

• I-10 eastbound CD/ML between Buena Vista and Executive right lane closure.
• I-10 westbound ML between Executive and Sunland Park right lane closure.
• I-10 eastbound at Sunland Park flyover entrance ramp closed.

Mesa Park Interchange Project

• I-10 westbound Executive off-ramp closure.

Guardrail Repair Project

Mon, March 23 (9 a.m. - 4 p.m. DAILY)

• Loop 375 eastbound from Crockett to Racetrack right lane closure with complete off-ramp closure at Racetrack.
• Spur 601 westbound from Chaffee to connecting ramp at US54 left lane closure with complete ramp closure..

Tues, March 24 (9 a.m. - 4 p.m.)

• I-10 westbound from Hawkins to Airway right lane closure.

Wed, March 25 (9 a.m. - 4 p.m.)

• I-10 westbound from Mesa to Redd left lane closure.

Thurs, March 26 (9 a.m. - 4 p.m.)

• I-10 eastbound from Artcraft to Redd right lane closure with complete off-ramp closure at Redd.

Fri, March 27 (9 a.m. - 4 p.m.)

• I-10 eastbound from Redd to Mesa right lane closure with complete off-ramp closure at Mesa exit.

• Robert E. Lee under I-10 between Gateway Blvd East/West complete closure.
• I-10 westbound between Airways and Downtown left lane closure.
• I-10 eastbound between Schuster and Robert E. Lee left lane closure.
• US 62 Montana east/westbound left lane closure between Isha Way and Geronimo.

I-10 Connect Project Closures

23-hour Closure
Sun, March 22, at 6 a.m. - Mon, March 23, at 5 a.m.

• US 62 (Paisano Drive) will be closed to all traffic between US 54 and I-110.
• The ramp which connects southbound US 54 to Paisano Drive will be closed to all traffic. 
• Gateway Boulevard North between Paisano and SH 20 (Alameda Avenue) will be closed to all traffic
• Ramp N which connects eastbound Loop 375 to northbound US 54 will be closed to all traffic.

Long-term Change
Beginning on Monday, March 23 and continuing until further notice

• The ramp which connects southbound US 54 to Paisano Drive will be closed to all traffic.
• Westbound lanes of Paisano Drive will have shifted toward the median. Use extra caution in this area.

Monday, March 23, and Tuesday, March 24 (9 p.m. - 5 a.m.NIGHTLY)

• SH 20 (Alameda Avenue) will be closed to all traffic at US 54.
• Alameda will remain open to local traffic only except for the area immediately under US 54.
