Scheduled Road Construction And Closures For El Paso This Week
While the city is ecstatic the Border West Expressway is finally open, there is still quite a lot of construction happening on El Paso Roads. We've finally seen some of the major road projects coming to a close, and the improvements are making the commutes home better and better! Still, there are some projects that are just getting started or are getting the finishing touches. To make sure you're not stuck sitting in traffic due to construction on your commute, you've come to the right place. East El Paso Closures
Mall Braided Ramps Project
Sun, Feb. 16 - Fri, Feb. 21 (9 pm - 5 am)
- I-10 westbound complete closure between Hawkins Boulevard and Airway Boulevard.
Mon, Feb. 17 - Fri, Feb. 21 (7 am - 4 pm)
- Gateway Boulevard eastbound left lane closure at Hawkins Boulevard intersection.
Loop 375 Frontage Road Project
Sun, Feb. 16 - Tues, Feb. 18 (9 pm - 5 am)
- Loop 375 southbound right lane closure between North Loop Drive to Alameda Avenue.
- Americas Avenue southbound closure at North Loop Drive entrance ramp.
- Loop 375 traffic detour westbound at North Loop Drive to Zaragoza Road.
- Loop 375 traffic detour eastbound at North Loop Drive to Inglewood Drive.

- Loop 375 eastbound and westbound between Tom Mays Park and I-10 alternating lane and ramp closures.
- I-10 Desert northbound and southbound from Mesa to Enchanted Springs alternating lane closures.

- I-10 eastbound from Hunter/Viscount right lane and shoulder closure.
- I-10 westbound at Airway off-ramp closure.
- I-10 westbound at Hawkins on-ramp closure.
- I-10 westbound from Hawkins to Airway right shoulder closure.
Wed, Feb. 19 (9 pm - 5 am)
- Gateway Boulevard West from Westmoreland to Airway intersection closure.
Thurs, Feb. 20 (9 p.m. - 5am)
- Gateway Boulevard East and West intersection at Airway closure.
Long-Term Closures (Until further notice)
- Gateway Boulevard East between Hawkins and Hunter/Viscount left lane closure.
- Hawkins eastbound entrance ramp closed.
- Viscount southbound right turn lane to Gateway Boulevard West closure.
- Airway southbound reduced to one lane at Gateway Boulevard West.
- Detours will be left at Viscount or right on International until further notice.
- Gateway Boulevard East at Airway intersection southbound closed until Feb. 27.

- I-10 eastbound CD between Buena Vista and Topgolf right lane closure.

- Mesa eastbound (in the direction headed toward the mountain) will be reduced to one lane between Osborn and Remcon.
- No right turns will be permitted onto Mesa from westbound CD/I-10 Mesa exit ramp.
Guardrail Repair Project

- I-10 westbound from Artcraft to Transmountain overpass left lane closure.
Wed, Feb. 19 (9 am - 4 pm)
- Spur 601 westbound from Global Reach to Spur right lane closure.
Thurs, Feb. 20 (9 am - 4 pm)
- Loop 375 eastbound from Plant to Zaragoza right lane closure.
Friday, Feb. 21 (9 am - 4 pm)
- I-10 eastbound from Schuster to Porfirio Diaz with complete off-ramp closure at Porfirio Diaz.
Montana Airport/Mescalero Intersection Improvement Project
Permanent Closures (Until further notice)
- Intersection of Airport/Mescalero permanently closed. Montana East and westbound permanent inside lane closure. Airport and Montana intersection restricted to one lane due to on-going construction.

- US 54 southbound by Cassidy Gate right shoulder closed.
- Robert E. Lee under I-10 between Gateway Boulevard East and West complete closure.
- I-10 westbound between Airways and Downtown left lane closure.
- I-10 eastbound between Schuster and Robert E Lee left lane closure.
- Loop 375 Border Highway eastbound between Coles and Bridge of Americas right lane closure.
- CD between Sunland Park entrance ramp and Mesa exit ramp left lane closure.
- US 62 between Hawkins and Mattox left lane closure.
I-10 Connect Project Closures
Monday, Feb. 17, through Thursday, Feb. 20
Nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Southbound US 54 will be closed between I-10 and Loop 375.
- DETOUR: Take Exit 21A (I-10 East/Van Horn), take Exit 23B (US 62/180/Chelsea Street/Paisano Drive), travel south on Paisano to US 54.
- SH 20 (Alameda Avenue) will be closed to all traffic at US 54.
- DETOURS: Eastbound traffic will turn left on Loop 478 (Copia Street), right on Gateway Boulevard East, and right on Raynolds street. Westbound traffic will use westbound US 62 (Paisano Drive) and turn right on Loop 478 (Copia Street).
- NOTE: Alameda will remain open to local traffic only except for the area immediately under US 54.
- Crews will be working on a concrete bridge deck.
Monday, Feb. 17, and Tuesday, Feb. 18
Daily from 9pm to 5am
- The off-ramp from eastbound I-10 to US 62/180//Chelsea Street/Paisano Drive will be closed to all traffic.
- DETOUR: Take Exit 25 (Airway Boulevard/El Paso Airport) and use the turnaround.
- Crews will be performing electrical work.
