Scheduled Construction And Road Closures For El Paso This Week
June is finally over and July is here but the construction all over El Paso is in full swing to get us to the finish line! Find out what major closures will be affecting your commute this week. Doesn’t matter when you’re traveling through the west side of El Paso, it looks like congestion is going to be an issue. Even the east side isn’t immune to traffic and headaches. With road closures, lane closures and more, El Paso traffic is getting worse before it gets any better. There will be some major freeway and road closures happening this week so make sure you are aware so you don’t get caught stuck in traffic.
I-10 West at Sunland
Sun., June 30 at 3 am to Mon., July 1 at 6 am
- I-10 West main lanes COMPLETELY CLOSED between Executive Center Blvd and North Mesa.
- I-10 West Sunland Park entrance ramp CLOSED
- I-10 West Schuster/UTEP entrance ramp CLOSED
I-10 West in Central/East
June 30 - July 2 (9 pm to 5 am NIGHTLY)
- I-10 West two right lanes at Viscount overpass CLOSED
- I-10 West McRae onramp CLOSED
- I-10 West Hawkins offramp CLOSED
Hawkins/Viscount Operation Improvements Project

- Westbound from Campbell St. to Loop 375 WB direct connector to Paisano WB

- Full Closure of Durazno from Uva Place to Bowie Street
Sundays - Thursdays Nightly (9 pm - 5 am)
- Ramp F, which connects westbound Interstate 10 to Juárez, will close all traffic.
- Gateway Boulevard East will be closed to all traffic near Lincoln Center.
June 30 - July 2 (7 pm to 6 am NIGHTLY)
- US 62 (Paisano Drive) will be closed to all traffic between Gateway Boulevard North and Gateway Boulevard South.
- Ramp R, which connects eastbound Loop 375 to US 62 (Paisano Drive), will be closed to all traffic.
- Gateway Boulevard North will be closed to all traffic between US 62 (Paisano Drive) and SH 20 (Alameda Avenue).
