During the pandemic, the El Paso Animal Services shelter saw an increase in people fostering and adopting animals to keep them company during isolation. Sadly, now that many people are heading back to work and resuming their social activities, shelters are seeing more animals being dropped off or being found as strays. These animals were there to help people during their time of need and now it's our time to be there for them.
The City of El Paso Animal Services shelter and the Bissell Pet Foundation are working together to save more animals and get them into their forever homes.
From today July 7th through Sunday, July 11th all adoption fees at Animal Services are waived so you can find your perfect pet and bring him or her home absolutely free. All their animals come spayed or neutered, microchipped, and with their age-appropriate vaccinations. You can see their adoptable cats and dogs on the Animal Services website.
The El Paso Animal Services shelter is located at 5001 Fred Wilson Avenue. The shelter is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information on how to adopt, you can call Animal Services at (915) 212-8705 or email them at epasadoptions@elpasotexas.gov. The adoption team is available 7 days a week from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. You can also see available dogs and available cats on the El Paso Animal Services shelter website. Find out more information about the Clear the Shelter event at the El Paso Animal Services Facebook page.
