Rush will forever be my favorite band of all time & it makes me so happy that, as a fan of Rush, they gave my hometown of El Paso, Texas & our neighbors in las Cruces, New Mexico a number of appearances & fantastic shows. Some people have even achieved old newspaper clippings & posters of these shows. We will look at some of their amazing shows in El Paso but first, let's go to Las Cruces first.

Rush came to Las Cruces 4 times at the Pan American Center

Their first appearance in Las Cruces was back on February 26, 1983 at the Pan American Center. Incredibly this show was recorded by a fan and made its way onto YouTube. You can see the entire playlist here.

Rush's next appearance would be a year later on June 5, 1984, again on January 18, 1992 & one final time on January 31, 1994.

Rush made 5 appearances in El Paso dating back since the mid 70s

The very first time Rush came to El Paso was when they were starting off; they first played the Sun City on June 5, 1976 at UTEP. They played with Styx & Iron Butterfly. Sadly Styx had to cancel their performance but the two others gave the crowd a huge show.

Rush would play the El Paso County Coliseum twice in 1977; on January 18 & on October 11. It would be nearly 20 years before Rush would come back but they would! They would play the UTEP Special Events Center (now the Don Haskins Center) on November, 30, 1996.

Their final show in El Paso at the Don Haskins Center on June 14, 2011.

Sadly I never saw Rush in El Paso but I WOULD see them in Phoenix on November 25 in 2012 at the US Airways Center. That was more than enough for me...
