Frozen Mexican Food Giant Picks Texas for HQ
The leading frozen Mexican food manufacturer in the U.S., Ruiz Foods, has named Frisco, Texas as its new unified headquarters.
Since its founding in 1964 by Fred and Louis Ruiz, this family-run powerhouse has delighted palates nationwide with favorites like burritos, enchiladas, and the roller-grill star, Tornados.

Despite the shift, Ruiz Foods isn't severing ties with California entirely, keeping its main manufacturing plant in Dinuba.
The company's CEO, Dan Antonelli, underlines that a central location in the country, like Frisco, facilitates easier access to facilities, improved customer reach, and a broader pool of talent in a bustling metropolis.
Frisco’s reputation as a city balancing a vibrant business scene with a high quality of life hasn't escaped the company's attention.
This Texas hotspot is quickly becoming the chosen destination for large-scale businesses looking for the ideal operational center. According to Kim Ruiz Beck, the Chairman of Ruiz Foods, this transition marks a significant step toward the company's long-term goals and industry growth.
Ruiz Foods joins a swelling number of companies, including another Hispanic food company, a paint manufacturer, and a national homebuilder, relocating their corporate homes to Texas.
In fact, Texas was the prime destination for one-way U-Haul traffic in 2022.
This development not only promises more jobs in Texas but also brings joy to fat Circle K grill foodies.
