Ronda Rousey's loss to Holly Holm shocked fans everywhere, but it really sent Rousey spiraling into a pool of self-doubt.

A very emotional Rousey appeared on Monday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show -- her first talk show appearance since last November's stunning upset to Holm -- and discussed the aftermath of the match, including her suicidal thoughts:

I was literally sitting there and thinking about killing myself and that exact second I’m like ‘I’m nothing, I’m like what do I do anymore and no one gives a shit about me anymore without this.’ To be honest, I looked up and I saw my man Travis was standing up there and I looked up at him and I was like, I need to have his babies. I need to stay alive."

Rousey managed to regain her composure and went on to discuss the possibility that her purpose is for others to see her "picking myself off the floor for everyone."

She also said, "I really do believe I'm still undefeated because being defeated is a choice. Everybody has losses in their life, but I choose to always be undefeated."

Metaphorically, that's inspiring and it shows Rousey's ambition, but it doesn't change the fact that she did indeed lose, although that loss will certainly seem like nothing more than a blip if and when the day comes when she gets a rematch with Holm and wins, restoring order in her universe.
