Place Your Best Guessed Bet Why Scenic Drive Was Closed Tuesday

For some of us who use Scenic Drive as an everyday route to and from work, we were thrown a curveball Tuesday.

Normally, El Pasoans are used to Scenic Drive closing on Sunday mornings for the community to get their cardio on, such as going out for a walk, run, or ride along the area.

It is surprising to regular Scenic Drive commuters when it happens to be closed out of nowhere. Normally, when they close Scenic Drive they put a sign mentioning road work or something. But not this time around, they just had a sign that said closed on December 14.

Now I was thinking maybe it was only going to be a morning thing but turns out the closure lasted most of the day.

When I left work I still wasn't able to take the Scenic Drive route after 3:30 pm.

I was so curious that I had to pull over along Rim Rd. to take some pictures of what I saw Tuesday. There were a couple of white pickup trucks and a random bright neon green flashing light.

It has me wondering like a curious cat about what was going on along Scenic Drive the other day. My imagination started going wild and I thought maybe they closed it down for Khalid since he did release a song titled "Scenic Drive" recently.

Let's just hope whatever it was closed down for it has something to do with filming as that is what it looked like from my view.
