It's officially spring which means it's the perfect time for concert season! There's nothing better than a night out checking out some live music; it's even better when the concert is outdoors! And if you're looking for some of the best spots for outdoor concerts, look no further than the Lone Star state and the Land of Enchantment!

From desert sunsets to killer lineups, Texas and New Mexico are where outdoor music thrives! This according to a new study from the team at McLuck, who analyzed all the U.S. states to determine the best states for outdoor concerts based on five key factors: average rainfall, average temperature, average concert ticket price, number of concerts on the calendar, and clear days per year.

Texas Ranks Fourth for Best State for Outdoor Concerts

Texas comes in fourth. It offers 2,753 concerts and the warmest weather on the list at 73°F. On the downside, it’s wetter than most, with over 2.6 inches of rainfall during the season. Still, with average ticket prices at $419, it remains a strong option for fans wanting both volume and heat.

While I haven't been anywhere else in Texas, I can attest that the outdoor concerts here in El Paso have been epic.

New Mexico Ranks Fifth for Best State for Outdoor Concerts

New Mexico follows in fifth place. It doesn’t offer many shows, just 262, but it's one of the cheapest places to see a concert. The average ticket costs $268, and spring and summer are usually dry with 1.44 inches of rain and a comfortable 62°F. If you live nearby, it’s an easy and affordable pick.

As someone who is willing to travel for concerts, Albuquerque's Isleta Amphitheater certainly hosts some great concerts.
