It’s been almost 3 weeks since we all enjoyed making fun of Nico Adjemian for burning not one, but TWO frozen pizzas on back-to-back nights.

Well, it’s time to go for numero tres: another frozen pizza has gone straight from the oven into the trash. This time, Buzz was the one cooking the doomed ‘za.

So, how did Buzz Adams accidentally cook a pizza UPSIDE DOWN? As you can see in this video, a pizza sheet or pan was not used. The pizza was put directly onto the oven rack, upside down, and as it cooked the cheese and tomato sauce all melted and ended up in a goopy puddle at the bottom of the oven.

In my own defense…it was a plain, generic cheese pizza that I was cooking for my 14 year old daughter. I like toppings on my pizza; peppers, onions, pepperoni, anchovies…anything other than (shudder) pineapple. My daughter is the opposite. She, much like a young Kevin McAllister in “Home Alone”, only likes cheese pizza. With this particular brand the top (cheesy part) of the pizza looked very much like the bottom side. I maintain that this is a mistake ANYONE could make.

But, why was there no pan under the pizza? Well, this is where Nico comes in and why this can ALL be blamed on him. Nico had said several times before that the CORRECT way to heat a frozen pizza was to place it directly on the oven rack, no pan, at 430 degrees. I asked him about this and he, again, said that’s how you’re supposed to do it. For that reason, I put the pizza directly on the oven rack for the first time in my entire pizza-cooking life. And, yeah, it was upside down. So, really, this is Nico’s fault making this the THIRD pizza he’s ruined in less than three weeks.
