My Darkest Days Deliver Look at Road Life in ‘Sick and Twisted Affair’ Video
After offering a sneak peek earlier this week, My Darkest Days have delivered the full video for the title track from their ‘Sick and Twisted Affair’ album.
The group let the cameras roll for an in-depth look at what their life is like during a touring cycle. The black-and-white video takes the viewer from the studio to rehearsals, into the van, onto the stage, out in the crowd, and behind the scenes after the show for a celebratory round of shots before letting some fans join them aboard their bus for drinks.
Of the song itself, Matt Walst recently told us here at Loudwire, “It’s kind of about dark love, vampire-y love. It’s kind of about an addiction that you can’t get away from.” Sal Costa added, “Everyone’s gone through a relationship like that where you’ve had someone you’re kind of addicted to.” Walst says it’s like the person makes you feel alive, while Costa adds that they may be poison at the same time.
‘Sick and Twisted Affair’ follows the smash single ‘Casual Sex’ from the band’s latest album. My Darkest Days’ trek continues into the summer as the group are opening dates for Nickelback, Bush and Seether. The next leg begins May 15 in Edmonton.
