Do you know a veteran in the El Paso, Texas area who would benefit from a trained service dog? We're teaming up with MUTTS Canine Cantina® El Paso and Train to Serve Canine Academy to make it happen, but it's up to you to nominate a deserving veteran.

KLAQ is proud to be associated with this amazing program. In anticipation of their grand opening this summer, MUTTS Canine Cantina® El Paso is making its official debut in the El Paso community by partnering with local nonprofit Train to Serve Canine Academy to present MUTTS® for Vets!

Nominate an El Paso Veteran in Need of a Service Dog

Nominate a deserving veteran in need of a service dog. MUTTS® for Vets will select two winners on April 15th.

The cost of training and pairing a service animal with an owner can be up to $25,000. Two veterans will receive a newly trained dog at no cost to them.

To nominate a veteran, simply fill out the nomination form below. You have from March 13th until Thursday, April 11th, 2024 to submit an entry.

"MUTTS® for Vets" is brought to you by our friends at MUTTS Canine Cantina® El Paso. We're partnering up to provide a trained service dog to a local veteran in need. Nominate someone here - and yes, you can nominate yourself. (Deadline to enter is 11:59 PM MST Thursday, April 11th, 2024.)

The following rules will be in place for this contest in addition to our standard contest rules:

Must be a Veteran and resident of El Paso County or Las Cruces, United States of America.

Must be present and available for an interview, Nov 11th at MUTTS Canine Cantina® El Paso, in El Paso, TX.

Must fill out nomination form in its entirety.

Winners must provide DD2-14 form.

The information provided is intended for the recipient, namely active or honorably discharged Veterans who are residents of El Paso County or Las Cruces, United States of America. Nominees must be available for an interview on or around the first week of May, 2024, at MUTTS Canine Cantina® El Paso TX. This promotion, " MUTTS® for Vets" brought to you by MUTTS Canine Cantina® El Paso, offers the opportunity to nominate a Veteran for a chance to be paired with a Service Dog and receive a year of training from the Trained To Serve Canine Academy. Two winners will be selected, and each will receive a Trained Service Dog with 2 to 18 months of training. Please ensure that the criteria is met and provide the necessary information when submitting a nomination.
