You’ve heard of “breaking the internet”? Rapper Travis Scott just broke McDonald's.

If you are all about the new McDonalds - Travis Scott ... not to be confused with Judas Priest drummer Scott Travis ... collaboration, you better either download the app or, get there early.  When McDonald's announced they were doing a “celebrity meal” deal with the entertainer who also runs Cactus Jack Records, anticipations and expectations ran high. NOBODY saw a food shortage coming though.

When Travis Scott asked his fans to order his new McDonalds combo meal, they did so in droves. So many in fact that, McDonald's restaurants all over the country are running out of ingredients and the fast-food giant is being forced to change the rules with regard to how McDonalds fans, Scott fans, and burger fans alike can even order one. The meal itself is a $6.00 combo which features a Quarter Pounder with Cheese, bacon, and lettuce, along with a medium order of fries with BBQ sauce and a Sprite.

To ease the crisis, McDonald's has a new rule for this particular meal. Beginning on the 22nd of September, you will only be able to order it via the Mickey-Dees mobile app. You won't be downloading the app for nothing though as they also have a buy one get one free deal on their new spicy chicken nuggets running today only and more things planned with Scott in the future.

As for me, I like McDonald's as much as the next carnivore but, that seems like a lot of effort. Especially in a town that NEVER runs out of taco ingredients!
