El Pasoans have been heartbroken to see different, locally-owned businesses closing due to the pandemic. This downtown food spot is asking for your help so they can keep their doors open.

Owning your own business can be scary but those fears and anxieties were taken to new heights during the pandemic. Many local businesses were shut down for months, and owners were forced to face tough decisions on what to do to try and save their businesses. And we're still seeing many of those changes that were made. More days closed, shortened hours, longer waits, and smaller menus are all repercussions of pandemic difficulties. And one local eatery is saying they're going to have to make more tough calls soon if business continues to stay slow.

Drac's Cheesesteaks is a delicious spot in downtown El Paso where you can get fresh hot dogs, burgers, fries, wings, and of course, cheesesteaks. Drac's has a small storefront but the food has a deliciously big taste when you come inside. Sadly when the pandemic hit, it was difficult for this small business since most of their business came from business traffic in the downtown area.

Business professionals are now back in downtown El Paso but sadly, sales for Drac's haven't hit those pre-pandemic levels. The business posted on their Facebook page, asking foodies to support them and other downtown businesses:

The post has been shared almost 600 times with people talking about their love of the sandwich shop. Hopefully, this positive publicity will help the business stay open for quite some time.
