Last week, it was reported that The Paranormal Files came to El Paso & did an investigation of the De Soto Hotel a week before the Hotel burned down. Well they were not alone; one of our very own paranormal investigators joined them in their investigation & I got to talk with the man who was with them.

Johnny Barbosa is the host of Paranormal Border on All In El Paso & has Johnny has been fascinated with the paranormal since he was 6 years old; while taking a taxi ride to his grandfather's funeral in Mexico, he was spot a woman in white in a local cemetery. Johnny described her as: "a glowing porcelain look just like the Virgin Mary. She smiled and gave me inner peace. It was not menacing".

Ever since then, he has been visiting haunted locations around the U.S. on his YouTube channel, The Octo Chronicles & has been working with The Paranormal Files since 2019. After meeting them in Vulture City, AZ, he got them to come film in El Paso's Haunted Basement.

After that, filming the De Soto Hotel was the next logical step: "The De Soto Hotel had been on my top of the list locations to do. Ghost Adventures was there and now after our own experiences we understand how negative that location really was. An experience I will never forget. De Soto is the most haunted location I’ve ever been too. El Paso is an untapped market for the paranormal. We have so much history here!"

Johnny is working on releasing a behind the scenes video on the investigation of the De Soto Hotel & released the trailer on YouTube yesterday.

The Paranormal Files posted their full 2 hour investigation on their YouTube as well as a follow up video, shortly after the De Soto Hotel was burned down.

It's so crazy to think that shortly before the fire, the Hotel WAS ABLE to be investigated one last time. So many secrets will forever remain a mystery & I truly believe the spirit of the De Soto will forever live on; perhaps a roaming around Downtown El Paso as we speak...
