This Saturday, October 12 grab your furry family member come out to the Gringo Theory Patio Bar for their Barktoberfest. October has plenty of Halloween fun for everyone, including your dogs. While showing off your dog in his or her fancy Halloween costume, you can also do it for a good cause. Gringo Theory is hosting Barktoberfest, an event benefiting Laws N Paws.

Barktoberfest is happening this Saturday, October 12th from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The City of El Paso Animal Services will be there offering free microchips to the first 50 pets, and adoptable pets will be there looking for their forever homes. Barktoberfest will also have a costume contest with prizes given out for the top 3 costumes. Laws N Paws is a non-profit organization and dog rescue that works to help neglected and abused animals in the Borderland. According to their website, Laws N Paws works to:

  • Rescue and adopt abused and neglected animals
  • Educate the community on humane treatment of animals and longterm commitment
  • Reduce the overpopulation of animals through spay and neuter programs
  • Encourage the public to report animal abuse
  • Assist the El Paso Police with collecting, documenting, and preserving evidence for the prosecution of cases and
  • Find loving forever homes for animals in need
