'Off the Record' is a video series where we ask artists questions about anything with one exception: No questions about music. This is your chance to peer behind the music and into the daily lives these artists lead outside of their profession. Topics range from good eats (last meals, ice cream) to mischief (dumbest thing done in the name of fun, getting sent to the principal's office) to getting real (biggest fear, worst injury).

Lacuna Coil singers Cristina Scabbia and Andrea Ferro dropped by the Loudwire studio in advance of the release of their ninth full length, Black Anima. For the last 20 years, you've heard the dark musings from the Italian metal collective and now it's time to pull back the curtain on the lighter side of the group in this Off the Record segment.

Okay, so it's not all lighthearted as we learned what Scabbia and Ferro's worst injuries were.

For Scabbia, she relays the story of her lone sleepwalking incident, which resulted in a broken skull as she fell off a balcony at the age of 12. She laughed it off at the end, making us all feel just a bit relieved. Regarding Ferro, it was a dislocated shoulder onstage that was his worst, but it went further downhill once he got to the hospital.

On that lighter note we mentioned, we get a story of being sent to the principal's office and a claw machine that yielded a thong for a prize. Watch the video at the top of the page to dive in.
