Earlier this month the McBride Fire destroyed over 6,000 acres in the Gavilan Canyon within the Village of Ruidoso. 207 structures were destroyed and the fire claimed the lives of two Ruidoso, NM residents.

The fire is now 89% contained, according to village officials, but residents in the area are still trying to pick up the pieces from the fire that destroyed so much, and Kendra Scott of El Paso is jumping into action to help the victims of the McBride fire put those pieces together.

El Paso and Southern New Mexico have always maintained strong community bonds and we believe there's no better time to support a neighbor than in their time of need,” said Claudia Vandivort, Kendra Scott El Paso’s Events Assistant Store Manager.

Philanthropy is one of the three core pillars for Kendra Scott and the company takes pride in giving back to organizations and communities in need.

“Here at Kendra Scott, we believe in being active members of our community whether that's supporting Little League Baseball teams or fire relief funds for Southern New Mexico,” said Vandivort.

Kendra Scott of El Paso employees hope that the community will help them make this fundraiser the biggest one yet to help a community that is so close to ours.

“The residents of Ruidoso are not only neighbors, but many of them are El Paso shoppers as well," said Vandivort. "It's only right for the El Paso business community to support the Ruidoso community however possible."
