From Winterfest to the downtown Christmas tree lighting, the city of El Paso is starting to look like a Christmas wonderland and I am loving it!!

Over the Thanksgiving weekend, many locals witnessed the first-ever Holiday Lights on The Lakes featuring the iconic Fred Loya Light Show.

This event is just one of many holiday events that will be happening throughout the Christmas season.

The community is invited to head out to The City of Horizon for its annual Christmas parade and tree-lighting ceremony in partnership with the Centennial Lions Club.

The tree lighting ceremony and float contest will kick off the festivities on Friday, December 2nd at 6 p.m. at the Corky Cocoran Park located at 13969 Veny Webb in Horizon City.

Guests can enjoy hot chocolate and other goodies that will be served throughout the event and rumor has it that Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in attendance at this festive event!

The Christmas parade will wrap up the events the following morning, Saturday, December 3rd at 10 a.m.

If you would like to join the festivities the parade committee is seeking parade entries, as well as vendors for the parade route.

Local choirs, cheer or dance groups, martial arts, music/bands, or other entertainment groups are also invited to perform at the tree lighting ceremony.
