John Leguizamo Bringing His Latin History For Morons To El Paso
The Tony award-winning actor John Leguizamo will be bringing his one man production from Broadway all the way to the Sun City. Leguizamo is an actor known for his roles in "To Wong Foo", "Moulin Rouge," "Romeo + Juliet," and the "John Wick" movies. He was also nominated for a Golden Globe for his role in "Thanks For Everything! Julie Newmar." Leguizamo is also a husband, father as well as an accomplished theater performer and writer. His most recent theater work was even nominated for the 2018 Best Play Tony award.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Leguizamo came up with the idea for the one man show after helping his son with his history class homework. His son needed to profile his Latin hero and both Leguizamo and his son couldn't name one. Leguizamo spent a year researching elements of Latin history that he felt school textbooks left out. From all that work, his one man show, "Latin History For Morons" was born.
"Latin History For Morons" will be performed in El Paso on Thursday, December 12th. Tickets go on sale this Friday, September 13th at 10 a.m. MT through Ticketmaster.
