Do you have a favorite local bakery that you'd love to see supporting a great cause? Encourage them to join NAMI of El Paso’s annual Bake the Stigma, a unique initiative that combines the sweetness of treats with the power of mental health awareness.

Bake the Stigma is not just your typical cake auction; it's a movement that transforms cakes into symbols of hope.

The cakes, intentionally gray on the outside, symbolize the struggles many individuals face with their mental health. However, the vibrant colors inside represent the hope that can be found even in the darkest moments.

The online cake auction allows you to bid on your favorite cake, and the proceeds go towards supporting free mental health programs for individuals and families in the borderland community.

“From classes and presentations to support groups and awareness events, Bake the Stigma aims to make a tangible difference in the lives of those navigating their mental health journey.”

The bidding process is open to the public on auction day, with updates delivered via text messages. The highest bidders can anticipate a sweet surprise as their chosen cakes will be delivered by NAMI El Paso, adding a personal touch to this impactful initiative.

Save the date for the virtual auction on Thursday, February 22, and the cake deliveries scheduled for Friday, February 23.
